About the technology
The Urban Pure Grey Water Recycling System employs advanced membrane-based technology to treat grey water sourced from sinks, basins, showers, baths, washing machines, and dishwashers. The system utilizes a multi-stage process that includes the following key steps:
-
Collection and Pre-Treatment: Grey water is collected in a 3000L underground well with an overflow to the sewer or treatment system during peak flows.
-
Aeration: The collected grey water is then transferred to the Urban Pure waste treatment unit, where it undergoes constant aeration to break down organic matter.
-
Membrane Filtration: The aerated water passes through flat sheet membranes with pores smaller than 0.8 microns, effectively filtering out contaminants and allowing only pure water to pass through.
-
UV Disinfection: The filtered water is subjected to UV treatment, ensuring that the treated water is safe for reuse.

This system is solar-powered and designed for low energy consumption, making it an environmentally friendly solution.
