The 7 Science and Technology clusters (S&T) spread across the nation are supported by the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) to the Govt. of lndia and have been established on the recommendation of the Prime Minister's Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) to create an
Atmanirbhar Bharat through S&T. These clusters are established as
formal umbrella structures for S&T organizations in various cities to have better synergy while retaining their autonomy. They create strong linkages between existing academic institutions, national & state research laboratories, and other stakeholders like relevant ministries, industry partners, start-ups, MSMEs, state governments, philanthropic foundations, and international organizations. DRIIV is one such S&T cluster and serves as a reliable delivery vehicle for the Delhi National Capital Region. [

Aligning with the Clusters' objectives, DRllV has built a vibrant ecosystem connecting industry, academia, and government bodies, facilitating smooth transition of innovation from 'lab to market'. DRIIV's thematic areas are also aligned with the national missions of the country.
Comprising a dynamic ecosystem of 100+ organizations, institutions, ministries, and corporate bodies including llT D, lllT D, TERI, AllMS, CSIR Labs, TATA Power, Google, BSES Rajdhani etc., the Cluster primarily works in the areas of Waste to Wealth, Air pollution, Water security, Sustainable mobility, Deep Tech (Al/ML), Renewable Energy (with a focus on Green Hydrogen & Solar Power), and Healthcare to address problems of national relevance. As part of the cluster activities, we also engage with similar clusters in other countries in a bid to translate G2G initiatives into execution level collaborations in science and technology.
